I suggest you to use TestDisk. TestDisk is powerful free data recovery software! It was primarily designed to help recover lost partitions and/or make non-booting disks bootable again when these symptoms are caused by faulty software, certain types of viruses or human error (such as accidentally deleting a Partition Table). Partition table recovery using TestDisk is really easy.
It can be downloaded from TestDisk Download. Extract the files from the archive including the sub-directories.To recover a lost partition or repair the filesystem from a hard disk, USB key, Smart Card, etc., you need enough rights to access a physical device.
I upgraded to high sierra from sierra via appstore on 25th. Had already got windows 10 installed on bootcamp. didnt switch to windows till today. not after starting in windows 10 cant go back to osx. Recovery option not coming , option key not showing boot option. What am i supposed to do
Same for me, I thought it was because it changes depending on what you os you installed last so like the right would be the last os you've installed into the partition. I'm kinda stupid and my first thought was like oh maybe it's just bootcamp needing a update to support High Sierra and the apfs but my stupid curious self decided to just oh well delete my windows partition and start over (i didn't have much besides some games and some files i didn't reallt care about). Anyways now i messed up because now it automatically boots me into windows when i open my macbook pro a1707 (2017) since i can't change it to boot into macOS from the bootcamp control panel. I hope apple updates the bootcamp asap since 10.13 isn't a beta anymore but until then i guess i'm going to delete windows again because i don't feel like holding down the option key everytime now and to answer your question my theory was wrong about it being based off the last os you install into the partition because windows was still on the left so my new theory that makes more sense is that 10.13 now boots mac hd into the right for the setting and not the left anymore, which that kind of bothering me so goodbye windows until the next update for bootcamp
Hey I am Using windows 10,installed via bootcamp in my Macbook pro with mac OS High Sierra,I am not able to enable double click by tapping on trackped as You can enable that option thru bootcamp control pannel only. Which is also not accesible.
My 15 inch MacBook Pro has been randomly shutting down for about 2 weeks now. Even when I'm only using one application it'll randomly shut down. I have my laptop partitioned (via bootcamp) and when I run windows my laptop runs perfectly fine and never shuts down.
The second time I went to the Mac store, the employee told me to wipe my entire hard drive, including the windows partition. I did it in store and my Mac seemed to be working fine. I downloaded google chrome and Spotify and ran a bunch of applications for about ten minutes and my laptop was fine. The Genius Bar employee told me if it still crashes, worst case scenario was to pay a flat fee of $575 (minus tax) and replace the logic board.
Hello all!I'm running windows 10 on a 2019 MacBook air with bootcamp. At the beginning I didn't have any trouble updating my windows, but cince 1 month ago everytime I try to download updates to install them from the windows update panel, an error occurs while downloading the updates, no matter what I do.I divided my 256 gb ssd in 2 128 gb each for MacOS and for Windows, because I read that in order to updates to go on I needed at least 128 gb on my windows partition.
Hello and thank you very much for the suggestions; regarding the 128 bg partition thing, I saw it here and not just once but maybe few more times, that is why I choosed a 256 macBook lol.I will try the thing of the windows 10 update assistant, and will let you know if it worked.
in your 2012 mac, rhwie should be a bootcamp control on tpannal he windows side of things. this used to give you the ability to switch between macos and windows from windows. in macos high sierra spple change the filesystem, and they did not make a windows driver for it. now, in Catalina, this functionality is back as it was before. on the macos side, go to system preferences>startup disk to switch from mac to windows.regards,Daniel
the error:- running bootcamp partition windows on virtual hardware / vmware fusion- windows update running- native boot into bootcamp-windows -> inaccessible boot device error.- unable to native boot on macbook pro 2019, t2 security chip
my solution was to use a 50 USD Standard version of winclone, this software has the ability to inject drivers (tools -> Add Bootcamp Drivers) from the mac os x side into the offline bootcamp partition, while mac os x is running. It would be great if vmware would allow this task.
for my case - yes it was possible to start the bootcamp partition via vmware. But if you run the bootcamp installer it checks for the correct hardware and stops. As Bootcamp uses nested installations - maybe it s possible to run the nested installers - but i haven't tried this.
Boot with reFind selecting apple_set_os.efi(previously running the integrated.bat as mentioned on the guide), but I am diverting from the guide a bit by after apple_set_os.efi, chainloading Clover with the modified DSDT and then booting windows bootcamp with Clover.
If you somehow managed to delete your startup disk, you will need to reinstall macOS after restarting in Recovery mode. If you deleted the Recovery partition, your Mac would use Internet Recovery to reinstall. You will need to be connected to the Internet.
I have bootcamp on my Mac. want only to erase and reinstall OS X, not windows in bootcamp. Any complication following the procedure described in this article or does it erase Bootcamp partition as well 153554b96e
