The final instalment of the brilliant Harry Potter movie series. This is probably the best film of the series in my opinion. The story is relatively simple: the day before a school year began, the new teachers and students came together at Hogwarts to prepare for the upcoming year. However, the school was attacked by Death Eaters and the protection spells in the castle left everyone within it vulnerable. Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger (Snow White and her seven dwarves) start looking for two other Hogwarts students that they met before who could have survived the attack. After some luck they find out that Harry has survived but that he must return to Britain with Ron and Hermione as they cannot remain with the wizarding world indefinitely. The film also introduces the McGuffin (a locket that contains the memories of its human owner, but possibly belongs to Snape). This, coupled with the discovery that Snape had helped Voldemort rise to power (Voldemort's true name is also revealed in the film), leads Harry to the conclusion that Snape must have murdered Dumbledore. When the three of them confront Snape, he is killed there and then. The film climaxes with Harry disposing of Snape's body in the forest where it is witnessed by Ollivander (the wand maker). The film continues on with the three friends and all that they've been through together. Obviously, there are more problems as the trio try to locate the locket, especially when some evil, new forces appear. The special effects are not as good as the first, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets and other effects are used again. However, the films are at the point where it does not matter so much anymore.Impressive acting and CGI effects are both present as well as an exciting story line. I must also mention the songs in this film. They are all personal ties of the actors and there is a lot of humour. All in all, this movie will be remembered for years to come as the first instalment in the Potter film series. It is also important to note that it is the first part of the two book series. The rest of the stars in the movie all went on to play other roles in the seven films that have followed.As we all know, Harry Potter and his friends ended up in a very, very magic world and a lot of things happened in their life during the films, not all of which makes sense to this reviewer. d2c66b5586
